SAS OLAYA Hotel apartments

For nearly 400 SAR a night, I really can’t recommend this place. I was bitten on my arms and legs overnight, woke up itchy all over, and found bed bug droppings on the bed. My things now seem to be infested too. The place needs pest treatment and a thorough cleaning. I looked at two rooms because one smelled like sewage. In the second, the sheets had yellow stains, there was hair on the pillow, inside the pillowcase, and on the bed beneath the blanket. There was lots of dust, stains inside the toilet, and a silverfish on the living room wall. Even the soap and toothbrush were already wet and ruined. The rooms weren’t clean, and this was a terrible value.

I’m grateful for the hospitality during the three weeks I stayed. The people working there were so kind, welcoming, and helpful, and always seemed ready to do more to make me feel at home. The apartments are spacious, nice, and well maintained. The one thing missing for me was a washing machine.

The location made things easy, close to Al Rashid Mall and lots of restaurants. My room was comfortable, spacious, and equipped with what I needed, and the hotel was clean, quiet, and well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout, especially at the front desk. I had a wonderful stay at SAS Al Olaya Hotel and would happily come back on my next visit to Al Khobar.

When I arrived, I found out that my website reservation had been canceled without warning. The hotel didn’t honor the booking, and the management and service felt shockingly unprofessional. I couldn’t find any other hotel nearby, which made the situation even more stressful. The lack of organization was appalling. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
