La Fontaine Najd Hotel

I needed somewhere at the last minute and got a reasonable price for one night. The beach and shops are close by. Check-in was at night and took a while. The room was okay for the price, with lots of space and powerful, easy-to-use air conditioning. The kitchen area was dirty, though, and the toilets could use a refurb.

The place was quiet and clean, and the staff didn’t give us any trouble. The security guard was always helpful with parking, since the garage is small and we sometimes had to park outside. There’s a little lobby with tea and coffee; I also saw a few soda cans, but that was it. The apartment had one TV in the living room and a mini fridge in the kitchen. There were two bathrooms, one in the master bedroom and a smaller one in the living room. The small bathroom didn’t drain the floor water very well. Some bedroom bulbs flickered or didn’t work, and the lights above the beds only partly worked. The trash can was on the small side. Wi-Fi was good enough for YouTube and social media, but not great for large downloads. It wasn’t slow, though not fast either, and didn’t reach the whole apartment very well. The doors inside leading to the garage had signs saying they were closed, so we had to go outside, but it wasn’t far. One of the two elevators also had an out-of-service sign even though it worked. A staff member used it and told me to take that one instead.

Comfortable stay at an affordable place near the beach and local restaurants.

The room and services were amazing. Reception staff were welcoming and helpful.
