Anan Hotel by Snood

The bed was comfortable, and the amenities were enough for what we paid. There was a Musalla, a safe, an iron and board, extra blankets, working AC, carpeted floors, and plenty of UK 3-pin sockets. The shuttle was decent, and you could catch any of the buses outside. For Jummah Salah, though, no bus was available, so I had to walk through the tunnels to the Haram, about 20 minutes. Housekeeping was inconsistent, and the fridge didn't keep things cold enough. There were only three lifts. I didn't try the breakfast, which cost 20 riyals, since I never had time. No other issues.

The dining area is so small that at mealtimes guests have to wait for a free seat, and getting to and from the Haram is very inconvenient. During our 11-day stay at Anan by Snood, the bedsheets were never changed. Towels weren't replaced unless we asked, and the room cleaning was poor. Many of the room facilities had defects, including a refrigerator that didn't work. Even the toilet paper wasn't replenished, so we had to change it ourselves, and some guests had to buy more from nearby shops. That's unacceptable for a hotel in Makkah. The quality here is zero, and I don't recommend staying.

There were six of us in total, the crowds heading to and from the Haram mean the shuttle won't always be available just for you, and getting the timing right takes some adjustment. Still, the shuttle from the doorstep to the Haram Mosque entrance is useful. Our six-day stay at Anan Snood was very pleasant and peaceful. The hotel has tasteful interior colors, nothing overdone, and there wasn't staff or room service constantly appearing in the corridors or elevators. I've stayed in a couple of other hotels on the same line in past years, and this experience outshone them. By Allah's grace, I had the honor of performing Umrah. I recommend Anan Snood highly, and thanked the administration in person on my way back. Well done, and keep up the effort helping pilgrims perform their rituals peacefully and securely.

The Haram is only three minutes away on the free bus, which was the best part of my five-day stay. The hotel was clean, the service was excellent, and the staff were very helpful. Special thanks to Mr. Hani and Mr. Abdullah for their great hospitality. In shaa Allah, I'll stay here again on my next trip.
