There's a prayer room downstairs and a few grocery shops outside, but getting around isn't easy. The hotel sits uphill, so there's extra walking. Taxis are about 5-7 minutes away, and the golf cart service is often unavailable. I saw elderly guests waiting a long time. The room had several problems: you could clearly hear corridor noise until midnight with the door shut, the intercom didn't work and wasn't fixed after I complained, and there was no kettle. Wi-Fi was very weak. The shower curtain was missing, so water spread across the bathroom floor, and I noticed insects and some broken amenities. After two days I requested cleaning. They did the floor and bathroom, but didn't change the sheets or pillowcases and didn't leave extra towels. When I went to the downstairs kitchen, I was told the food wasn't good and I should buy it elsewhere. For the price of a 3-star hotel, I expected better service.

The atmosphere was calm and welcoming, and the staff were polite, professional, and ready to help. The hotel was well managed, with good cleanliness standards. My room was spacious and clean, with the basic amenities I needed. Best Western Ajyad Makkah Hotel is convenient for pilgrims, with nearby transport providing access to Masjid al-Haram. I found it a dependable choice for comfort, service, and value during a Makkah stay, including for Umrah or Hajj.

The shuttle was hard to catch, and even then we had to wait a long time. Reception staff were rude, and they wouldn't clean the room or change the sheets, even after I asked repeatedly. Very poor service. I only gave a star because the review required one. Please don't stay here.

The hotel is near the Haram. A golf cart takes you down close to it, then it's about a four-minute walk.

Getting to and from this hotel is difficult and inconvenient because it's up on a hill. I strongly wouldn't recommend staying here.
