Makarem Umm Al Qura Hotel

The room itself was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and I appreciated getting an extra bed at no extra cost. Still, considering what I paid and the hotel's reputation, I expected better service. I did enjoy the stay, but the service should match the price. I left the room empty all day after asking for it to be cleaned, but it hadn’t been serviced when I got back. When it was finally cleaned, the toiletries weren’t replenished and neither were the tea bags, even though we were nearly out or had run out. The refrigerator wasn’t keeping the food cold. A maintenance worker came, dismissed the problem, and said it worked without properly checking it. Nothing effective was done to fix it. I was also disappointed that there’s no dedicated hotel shuttle to the Haram. Guests have to use public buses, which can be difficult when they’re crowded, especially at peak times.

The rooms were spacious and well looked after, with lovely views, and the staff were attentive and courteous. Makarem Umm Alqura Hotel has luxurious amenities and a convenient location for getting to major attractions. My stay was comfortable, and the service exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend it.

Mr Hafez looked after us from the moment we arrived until we left, and I’m so grateful for his help. The staff welcomed our whole family warmly, and the service was 10/10. The rooms are spacious and high standard, and the location is perfect. MashaAllah, I’d recommend this hotel to anyone going for Umrah.

The washroom needs some maintenance. There was no proper filter for the wastewater, which went straight down the waste pipe, and a bad smell kept coming back up. That was the one issue; otherwise, the service was very good. Mahmud Ali at the restaurant was helpful with all my food questions, and the restaurant was great for suhur. The place is good for performing hajj at Haram, not too far from Al Haram, and the price is very reasonable. I’d certainly recommend it and would come back.
