The owner was very friendly and tried to help with everything. The Kaaba isn’t far, there was hot water for showers, the refrigerator was pleasantly quiet, and the windows kept out sound very well. The door had a chain lock, and there was a small safe in the cupboard. We moved the beds to make space to pray and found a lot of dirt underneath. One area was sticky and should have been spotted and wiped during cleaning. There were also a few hairs on the beds. The bathroom was okay, but the door opens inward and leaves too little room to get to the shower. Reversing it to open outward could help. Noise from the cleaning staff was another real problem. On two nights, they got so loud outside our room in the middle of the night that we woke up. We were exhausted during the day afterward.

The staff were helpful, and the rates and service are the best around Makkah. Walking to Masjid Al-Haram King Fahad Gate usually takes 20 minutes. Highly recommended.

Getting the water heater fixed took two days, and they didn’t have an iron when I asked. It’s a long way from the Haram, with no bus and taxis refusing to bring you there. Calling the hotel was no help either, they wouldn’t answer. A really bad stay.

I arrived with a confirmation email, only to be told there were no rooms and nothing could be done. Four other people had the same problem while I was there, so their booking system clearly isn’t working. Don’t book here.

It’s hard to get a taxi from Masjid Al haram to this place. Almost all the drivers seem unwilling to make the trip.
