Park Inn by Radisson Makkah Thakher Alsharqi

I lost my wallet shortly after arriving at Park Inn by Radisson Makkah hotel and asked reception several times if it had turned up in Lost and Found. They said they’d check and get back to me, but I never got a clear answer. Later, I asked if they could review the security camera recordings from when I arrived. A staff member took my room number and details and said they’d pass the request to the person responsible, but again, nobody followed up. Communication here was extremely poor. They took my room number whenever I asked for help, as though they’d handle things, then simply ignored the request. One employee even said the hotel wasn’t responsible for helping with this, though she said she’d talk to the manager. I never heard back. I was there for Umrah and didn’t want a conflict to disrupt an important spiritual journey, but the lack of cooperation and professionalism was very disappointing. For a 4-star hotel, this service is unacceptable. The hotel is also very expensive for the quality offered, and guests should be able to expect better communication and basic support. I hope management takes this seriously and improves how it handles guest concerns.

We arrived with our luggage during the last ten days of Ramadan 2024 and were shocked to find the hotel still under construction. We’d booked three months earlier and even confirmed the reservation, but there had been no warning or update. Instead of a peaceful stay, we had to scramble for another hotel at the busiest, most blessed time of year, which caused enormous stress. It was an absolute disaster and completely unprofessional. I’d never recommend this place.

It’s a 20-minute walk from Haram, with a great view and great service. The staff were nice and accommodating, but I expected the cleanliness to match the hotel’s name, photos, and price. With tax, it was 500 SAR for one bedroom, and the place wasn’t clean. There was no parking, and we were told to park on the sidewalk. We got a ticket and couldn’t hold anyone responsible 😂

Breakfast was phenomenal, and the price was great for the amenities. We stayed four nights and liked the rooms and friendly staff. There’s a shuttle to Haram about every hour, around a 15-minute trip, though we always seemed to miss it. An Uber from here costs about 20R.
