Ramada by Wyndham Makkah Zad Al Tayseer

I liked the location, about a 10-12 minute walk from the Haram, and the four single beds worked for my family during our two-night stay. The cleaning staff were friendly and helpful. The room had no view, though, which was disappointing. We also enjoyed the Iftaar buffet, especially the range of salads and sweets. A few practical things could be better. Early check-in would help families with children, and rooms should be cleaned more thoroughly before new guests arrive. There’s no car parking at the hotel, despite what I saw some people say about it. Overall it was comfortable and conveniently placed, but housekeeping, parking, and check-in flexibility need work.

Ghaidaa at the reception made our Umrah trip much easier. We needed to book electric golf carts for Tawaf in the Haram for elderly family members and others who needed them. The website kept lagging and only took Saudi phone numbers, so booking as visitors was difficult. Ghaidaa patiently spent nearly two hours helping us get it done, giving her own time and effort without hesitation. Her kindness and professionalism lifted a huge burden and helped our elderly relatives perform Tawaf comfortably. The hotel was comfortable and well located, but staff like Ghaidaa are what made it stand out for us. During Umrah, that kind of support means a lot. Thank you for making the journey more peaceful.

The rooms were great and cleaned every time, but I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. The bus was too crowded, and missing it meant paying a lot for an expensive taxi. The bus after Fajr doesn’t leave before 6:40 even when full, so people wanting to pray Fajr and get home for some sleep can end up waiting over an hour. The buffet also had few choices and wasn’t as good as at other hotels. I had trouble with the card for the buffet. They let me in and asked me to check with reception later. After Fajr, a male receptionist spoke to me very rudely and just told me to return later without explaining anything, even though he seemed to be doing nothing. He fixed the issue when I came back that night, but both times he spoke to me as if I were begging. I’ve never been treated that way before. The woman working late morning and afternoon was polite and respectful, and welcomed me warmly at check-in.

Ghaida from reception and Abdelaziz were especially welcoming and professional, and their kindness made our stay more comfortable. The room was clean, well kept, and a good size for resting after long days of worship. Ramada by Wyndham Makkah Al Taysir is in a lively, practical area with plenty of shops and restaurants, and it’s convenient to reach the Haram for prayers. A very pleasant stay and a great option when visiting Makkah.
