The 15th floor was super quiet, and getting in and out was easy. Check-in and checkout were quick, the lifts weren’t crowded, and the bell boy brought our luggage to the room. It was modern and clean. Iftar was superb, served from Maghrib until 10:00 PM. The TV was a letdown: there weren’t many channels, and the ones available were all Arab channels with a snowy picture. Getting to Al haram mosque also takes some planning. The green or yellow bus comes every 15 minutes, but picks up at other hotels too, shares the road with cars, and takes about half an hour. There are no buses for half an hour before each prayer because Police close the roads, and you can’t call Careem for pickup then either. Finding the Ramada bus on the way back is tricky. Follow the leftmost path marked A, then go to the multi-coloured A B C D sign a few steps behind it. Walk to the end of that path and back the same distance to D2. Look for a bus marked RAMADA AL RAWDA at the front. It could be at D8 or D5 instead of D2, and expect to stand.
The place was very clean, with great facilities and a nice lobby. It’s around a 10-minute taxi ride to Masjid al-Haram. I stayed two days from 11 March, and the two women at reception around the 4pm check-in rush were outstanding. They handled the early-arriving crowd calmly and professionally, and let me check in about 30 minutes ahead of time, which I appreciated. The male staff member on early morning duty, unfortunately, had very poor customer service. Apart from that, it was a very good stay.
Breakfast was a highlight, especially the fresh omelet, which was top-notch! 🍳 The reception team were professional, answered my questions efficiently, and got things done quickly. Room service was prompt and attentive too. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in Makkah, and I’d recommend it for a comfortable, pleasant visit. 👍 ⭐️
Breakfast was the biggest disappointment. The choice was extremely limited, mostly salad, with only a few hot dishes such as eggs, potatoes, chicken nuggets, and fava beans. The eggs weren’t warm, the food was mediocre, and dishes ran out quickly without timely refills. For the price, especially in this season, that’s not an acceptable breakfast. The variety and quality both need a significant improvement. I chose Ramada again because it’s usually good value and conveniently located, as in my past stays at Ramada or Tulip Inn. The location and basic condition of the room were fine, but the refrigerator wasn’t connected or working, and we had to set everything up ourselves. Basic toiletries were missing too, which I wouldn’t expect from a hotel in this category. Compared with previous Ramada stays, this one was disappointing. I hope management takes the feedback seriously and brings the service up to the brand’s expected standard.
We paid extra because breakfast was advertised as included, but during Ramadan the suhoor provided was very poor. The selection was small and the quality disappointing. Even when guests arrived nearly an hour before closing, water and juice were often gone, with no one seeming concerned about refilling them. Basic bread and other simple options were missing too, and staff often didn’t respond seriously when we asked for help. Suhoor matters to fasting guests. If Ramada can’t provide basics like water, juice, and bread, it shouldn’t advertise breakfast included. We’d rather arrange our own food than pay extra for something that isn’t properly provided. I’m currently staying at Ramada in Makkah, and this experience has left me very disappointed. Based on this stay, I wouldn’t choose it again.
