The 15th floor was super quiet, and getting in and out was easy. Check-in and checkout were quick, the lifts weren’t crowded, and the bell boy brought our luggage to the room. It was modern and clean. Iftar was superb, served from Maghrib until 10:00 PM. The TV was a letdown: there weren’t many channels, and the ones available were all Arab channels with a snowy picture. Getting to Al haram mosque also takes some planning. The green or yellow bus comes every 15 minutes, but picks up at other hotels too, shares the road with cars, and takes about half an hour. There are no buses for half an hour before each prayer because Police close the roads, and you can’t call Careem for pickup then either. Finding the Ramada bus on the way back is tricky. Follow the leftmost path marked A, then go to the multi-coloured A B C D sign a few steps behind it. Walk to the end of that path and back the same distance to D2. Look for a bus marked RAMADA AL RAWDA at the front. It could be at D8 or D5 instead of D2, and expect to stand.
