Fleur de Lys

The whole complex was beautiful, and the location worked perfectly for us. We were self-catering, and the house had everything we needed. There was even a clothesline behind it for our swimwear and an outdoor shower to rinse off the sand. The owner was so friendly, and the staff were lovely too. We'd definitely return!!!

We had a good breakfast delivered each morning between 8 and 9. The garden was really nice and full of birds, and the place was very quiet. The bungalow is big enough for two people. The bathroom is a little old, but it was fine for our five nights. There are a few restaurants and a shop close by. Bring mosquito spray.

We first stayed here in 2011, and coming back brought back the same good memories. This time we spent four nights in one of the villas. They're simple, peaceful, and each has a terrace overlooking the beautiful garden while still giving you privacy. It's also kid friendly, with lots of little birds and animals around. The owner is very kind and helpful with anything you ask, and can arrange extra beds for children for a reasonable additional cost. You can pay for the villa by card or cash, but island tax and bike rental have to be paid in cash. We'd recommend Fleur de Lys as an attractive alternative to the more high end oceanfront places. The cottages are small, practical, simply furnished, and very clean. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The complex is lovely and close to both the island center and port. There are good restaurants, shops, and takeaways nearby, and you can rent a bicycle right at reception. Even though it's a long way for us, we'll come again!
