Chalet Bamboo Vert

The staff were friendly and the price was low, but this was a disappointing place for three nights at Chalet Bambou Vert. Rest was hard because the roosters began crowing around 4 a.m. The breakfast was basic, and being given dirty towels to use as beach towels was unpleasant. The rooms felt average and uncomfortable. If you’re hoping for peace and relaxation, especially on a honeymoon, this isn’t the place.

The island was beautiful, but our honeymoon stay was uncomfortable. We had paid for a 50m² Superior Chalet and got a much smaller one. It was also missing both the mosquito net and bidet that were supposed to be included.

A lovely guest house, with friendly, pleasant service and a good breakfast. Bikes cost 75 SCR a day to rent. The only thing that bothered me was the turtle pen. It seemed unnecessarily small, and I couldn’t see the point of it.

The food was delicious, even with our dietary needs. We’re both vegetarian and my wife can’t have lactose, but the chef always found a way to make us something tasty and satisfying. The room was kept perfectly clean and decorated with flowers, and the staff were kind and ready to help. Special thanks to Santosi for all the smiles and kindness. We loved the place during our honeymoon week. There were mosquito nets only over the bed, not at the windows or door. With so much greenery around, we kept everything shut to keep insects out. The AC helped somewhat, though we would have preferred nets.
