The pool was a lovely place to cool off among all the greenery, and the garden itself was full of flowers and felt so peaceful. Our chalet was spotless and cozy, and we felt at home as soon as we arrived. We could hear birds morning and evening, which was really relaxing. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, and we loved our time here. We’d happily come back.

I’ve stayed in places all over the world, and this was the worst experience by far. The host, who owns the house, was rude and controlling, with rules that felt absurd. We were told we could only use the pool for 30 minutes, and had to switch off the air conditioner whenever we showered. Our room was tiny, about 10 square meters, unbearably hot like a sauna, and not worth $125 a night. There was no hot water in the shower, no kitchen, and no proper water filter. The only sink was in the bathroom, and that’s where the host expected us to get drinking water. All the water provided came from there. This was also the only place in Seychelles that charged a €200 deposit, with no clear reason. One night at around 10 PM, when the room had run out of drinking water and nearby shops were already closed, I politely asked the host for some. Instead of helping, she scolded me for “waking her up” and told me, “Drink tap water if you need it.” She said the water in the room was tap water too, which shocked me because the first rule in Africa is never to drink tap water. She also said, “You’re not in Europe,” in a very dismissive way. The whole stay was a complete disappointment. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

We really liked relaxing on the two terraces in the evenings. Our bungalow was lovely, set in a gorgeous, peaceful garden, and the pool area was clean, well looked after, and thoughtfully designed. Taking household rubbish to the roadside bins yourself is no problem. Erade handles recycling plastic and other materials, which deserves real respect, especially on such a beautiful island. A great spot to unwind and enjoy nature. Highly recommended!

If you’re after peace in paradise, this is the place. It’s beautiful and peaceful, with a special connection to nature, and it’s the best place I’ve experienced so far. The hosts were friendly and accommodating to locals and foreigners alike, and the service was amazing for the price. Shops, the beach, a bus stop, and restaurants are all within walking distance. The locals are very friendly too. I recommend A*****.

We loved having breakfast on the balcony at Mango Tree House, watching wild birds and other animals. We stayed five nights, and the accommodation was spacious, very clean, and nicely furnished, in a lovely garden with different trees, flowers, and birds. Erade and her son Stephen made us feel welcome and comfortable straight away. They were glad to suggest places to visit and restaurants or takeaways, and they also arranged transfers to and from the airport or ferry.
