Beach Cottages

We’ve come back for the fourth time, and the friendly, helpful staff keep exceeding our expectations. Katrin, Cyril, Pence and Jena deserve a big thank you. Our flight was delayed by 11 hours, and with nowhere at the airport to direct us, we called them at night. They ordered us a taxi and came to meet us, then let us stay one night for free. We’re so grateful for the hospitality and wish you all success!

We could barely have asked for a better last day. They let us leave our bags, shower, and enjoy the beach until the afternoon before saying goodbye. The private beach is wonderful for snorkeling, with its own house reef, and we even spotted a turtle right in front. The garden is lovely at sunset, with two big tortoises. It’s very quiet, and from the balcony you can sit under the stars with both sea and mountains in view. There’s also an old church across the street. The accommodation was very clean, the rooms large, and Jane was so helpful. The kitchen is well equipped, and free water is provided. Dinner delivery is available at good prices, which was convenient. A grocery shop is just 10 meters away, and there are two bus stops right outside. Victoria is 20 minutes away, and you can walk to the Anse Major Trail at the end of Bell Ombre. Beau Vallon, the famous beach, is 3-5 minutes on foot, though we liked the private beach even more. Highly recommend, and thank you for everything!

The receptionist made our honeymoon especially memorable. She was amazing, put together our exploration plans, and helped arrange all our travel bookings. Our room looked out over the sea, and the quiet setting was perfect for a getaway. I’ve never had better service at a hotel. What an unforgettable trip, this place felt like the best hotel ever!

We really enjoyed being able to swim, sunbathe, and barbecue in such a peaceful, homey setting. It felt like more than a place to sleep, it had a real sense of belonging. From our terrace, where we ate together, the view was breathtaking, hard to capture in words or photos. My fiancée and I stayed at Beach Cottages on Mahé and couldn’t have been happier. The staff were kind, attentive, and always ready to help. Everything we needed was in the cottage, and it was spotless, with daily housekeeping and fresh towels whenever we needed them. We’d definitely recommend Beach Cottages if you prefer an intimate, authentic stay to a big resort or hotel.
