Villa Karibu

We really enjoyed the beautiful view and the space at Villa Karibu. Still, a few things made the stay less comfortable. The kitchen was disappointing: many dishes and utensils felt greasy and unpleasant to use, so cooking wasn’t great. The main living area got very hot, and air conditioning was only available in the bedrooms. Some furniture looked worn and dated. There were often lots of insects in the pool, and neighboring dogs made the area around the villa quite noisy. The location and views give the villa great potential, but it needs some maintenance and improvements to make a stay more comfortable.

The view of the sea from the pool and the whole setting were unforgettable, as were breakfasts with the sea in view and a glass of wine in the evening. My wife and I spent a week at Villa Karibu in June 2024, and it was simply amazing. The villa had three beautiful bedrooms, each with air conditioning and an en-suite bathroom. Its spacious kitchen had everything we needed for self-catering. Brenda, who manages the villa, and her team were incredibly friendly and helpful. It’s a wonderful place we’ll remember for a long time.

We found this to be especially good value for money in the Seychelles, where things are generally very expensive. It’s particularly suited to families, and I highly recommend it. The house is splendid and beautifully furnished, with a lovely view across the bay and a beautiful private pool. The owners gave us a warm, friendly welcome, and breakfast was excellent. It’s comfortable and has amenities worthy of a luxury hotel.

We have a useful comparison: we’re now staying in a large villa on Praslin at a similar price, but its cleanliness, hospitality, comfort, and amenities are all far below Villa Karibu. Our week in Brenda’s villa was wonderful. In Cap d'Agde, Mahé, the location is incredible, with an unobstructed view of the ocean and coral reef. The place was spotless and tastefully decorated. Brenda was welcoming, attentive, and took excellent care of us. Well done, Brenda, and thanks again. I’d recommend going without hesitation.
