Les Elles Guesthouse Self Catering

We thoroughly enjoyed our nearly two weeks here. The apartment is fully equipped, clean and air-conditioned, with daily cleaning. Outside, it feels like a little paradise, carefully tidied each day as they gather the fallen leaves. Shops are about a 10-15 minute walk away. Michel was very kind and helpful. When we wanted to visit the island waterfall, he made us a complete map. His family are incredibly kind too. Thank you!

We spent eight days here and it was wonderful. The gardens and views are amazing, and everything was clean and working well. The kitchen has all the usual appliances, plus handy extras like a blender and rice cooker. The photos don't do the place justice, and the owner and staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. There are a few restaurants, small shops and a fruit and veg stall within easy walking distance. The local beach is about 10 minutes away on foot, along a well-lit route for the evening. The road up is steep and a little nerve-racking by car at first, but you get used to it, and there's parking at the property. An absolute gem of a find.

The kitchen had some insects inside, which makes sense for the area. Next time we'd just seal our food better. Everything else about our stay at Les Elles Guesthouse was great. Michel answered our questions, suggested places to visit, and let us try bananas, passion fruit and coconut from the garden. The house had what we needed for a short stay, and the balcony room had lovely views. Michel and his family gave us an incredible welcome, with fresh juice when we arrived. They cleaned daily and decorated the house with fresh flowers. Thanks for such a great stay!

Les Elles Guesthouse sits in a beautiful forest setting, so expect geckos to come into the room and birds to sing loudly on the balcony at sunrise. The owner was friendly and attentive, and gave us a papaya from the lovely garden he grows around the guesthouse. Our room was cleaned daily, and both the fan and AC worked well. We also got to meet his domesticated bat and play around with it. I'd definitely recommend staying here. I was here for four nights.
