Pirogue Lodge

The beach is right across from the hotel, with beach beds brought out for guests. It’s a calm part of the island, ideal for relaxing and swimming. My wife and I stayed for three nights, and the hotel was very clean and perfectly located. I can’t remember the front desk lady’s name, but she was extremely helpful and accommodating, which made our stay even better. We’d definitely stay again.

The beach is clean, long, and directly across the road, with lovely swimming water. The hotel is on a quiet street without buses or a main road; bus stops are a three-minute walk in either direction. Supermarkets, restaurants, and takeaways are within 100 m. Staff were absolutely great, kind, and helpful. Rooms were clean and serviced daily, and the air conditioning and fan made the warm days comfortable. Breakfast was great. Highly recommended.

Pirogue Lodge has just six rooms, so the service feels personal. Nadia went above and beyond to make us feel at home, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The decor may look old-fashioned by urban hipster standards, but that gives it the charm of a traditional small hotel on a tropical island. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and spotless. The location is central, just across from the beach, where they bring sun beds for relaxing under the palm trees. In the evenings we often had the pool area to ourselves, perfect for a dip after sunset or a quiet drink after dinner. A top recommendation in its category.

Pirogue Lodge was a wonderful start to our Seychelles honeymoon. We spent five nights there on Praslin, and it exceeded our expectations. The staff were friendly and accommodating from the moment we arrived. Our room was ready soon despite our early arrival, and they set us up with sunbeds to relax in while we waited. Half board was a great choice. Breakfast and dinner both had a varied selection, so we could try something new each day, and the dinners were especially impressive. Bernadette was a highlight, always greeting us with a smile and helping with our requests. The room was spotless, and fresh bedsheets every day made us feel pampered. We couldn’t have asked for a better beginning to our honeymoon, and highly recommend Pirogue Lodge to anyone looking for a warm, welcoming place to stay in Seychelles.
