The staff were lovely, friendly, attentive, and always smiling. They made guests feel welcome. Downstairs, the reception, lobby, waiting area, restaurant, and lounge are clean and attractive, with lots of interior details. It’s a nice spot to sit, eat, or have a drink. The room itself was very basic. There was no mini fridge, and the bathroom, shower, and toilet could use renovation. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows felt cheap and didn’t give me the best rest. My room was above the outdoor restaurant seating, where people made quite a bit of noise. If you need real quiet, ask reception for a room at the back of the building. The breakfast and evening meal package was fine. There weren’t many choices, but the food tasted good and was enough for a nutritious meal. With dinner, the only drink offered was water. Wi-Fi worked well while I was on my laptop, and there’s a supermarket nearby for essentials.

The pictures have a charming look from the days when F1 was here. It’s probably busy during race events, so book early. The hotel is perfectly placed near the race track and feels worth the price. Breakfast also draws people who aren’t staying there, which I guess is a good sign. The plastic punch card keys still feel less safe.

For business in Anderstorp, this place feels like home while still giving you the comfort of a good hotel. The service was excellent.

The staff didn’t even say please or thank you when I paid. For the price, that was the least they could do. I won’t return, and I wouldn’t recommend the hotel. I only had to stay because I had a funeral at the church in Anderstorp and needed to be nearby for last minute arrangements. For tea, coffee, four cokes, and maybe six beers over two days, our drinks came to just over 1000 SEK. Tea or coffee cost 30 SEK at the bar, and on my last night I was told to go upstairs and make it myself. Really? How would anyone do that if they were disabled? The hotel didn’t stock wine or spirits, even though I think these should be available to guests who are paying the bill. The hotel had been renovated in the last year, so I found the rooms especially disappointing and below standard. There were no double beds, the bathroom had old fashioned shower curtains, and the heating wasn’t working. There were no tea or coffee facilities in the room either. I love Swedish design when it’s clean and modern, but this wasn’t that. The furniture looked like it came from a second hand furniture shop.
