Klitterhus Havsbadshotell

The view across the water is spectacular, and the service is excellent. The short menu has three starters, three main courses, and three desserts. The starters were excellent, but the mains fell short. My filet was very small and arrived medium, with no one asking how I wanted it cooked. The fish was overdone, though it tasted good. Probably the best restaurant in Ängelholm, but I wouldn't make a detour for it unless the view and service are what you're after.

On a sunny late spring day, we stopped for lunch at the beach hotel restaurant overlooking Skäldeviken. The catch of the day was cod, cooked just right, and our waiter was pleasant. He used that old-school waiter Swedish, asking, “And what would we like for lunch today?” It suited the restaurant's decor. Recommended, especially for lunch.

We left because the service was such a letdown. We waited ten minutes before anyone came over, then I had to catch the waitress myself just to ask if we could order. When I asked for a menu, she only listed a few dishes and couldn't give us anything to read. Her English wasn't good, so we decided to go. I didn't expect this kind of service from a restaurant like this.

The food was very nice, especially the fish, and the waiters were professional with good service. You can eat here without booking. The price matched the taste well enough, though the wine seemed quite expensive to me as a Frenchwoman.
