Our cabin was cozy, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. A special treat was dinner in a hut shaped like a kåta, like the houses used by the Same people. We had grilled meat and vegetables, with beer or wine available. We also enjoyed a good breakfast in the dining room one morning. My sister, husband, and I spent six days at Myrkulla in late June while traveling through Sweden, and it was our favorite place to stay. The landscape is amazing, with lakes, forests, and reindeer. The nearly constant sunlight that time of year had us dreaming of trolls and other stories. Michael, the owner, made us feel welcome, offered helpful advice, and served great food. For an authentic experience of northern Sweden, this is the place. We’d love to come back, we just have to choose a season, since winter seems just as wonderful.

We took a snowmobile tour with Michael, four of us, and were completely satisfied. He managed to arrange it at short notice, and took us off the beaten track instead of simply letting us drive from A to B over the snow. He showed us what riding a snowmobile is really like, including helping us out of hip-deep snow when we got stuck, several times. For experiencing the northern Swedish outback, Michael is the way to go. Book a tour with him, you won’t regret it.

Northern Lights, snowmobile tours, starry skies, and afternoon coffee with cake made for a lovely week. Michael was always good for a laugh, the service was excellent, and he helped arrange dog sledding, suggested places to see, and made excellent food. If you want a peaceful, stress-free break in Lapland, this is a great spot. The winter scenery is beautiful, and the atmosphere is relaxed. It also sounds well suited to campervans and motorcycles in summer. We’ll definitely be back.

We had such wonderful days at Myrkulla. It’s a unique place, well away from the crowds, and Michael was a fantastic host who treated us to delicious food every day. The surroundings felt magical, with all that snow and beautiful light. We saw reindeer and moose every day. A real dream!

We look back on our wonderful stay at Myrkulla Lodge with so much enthusiasm. The setting was beautiful, and the host took great care of us. Nothing we wanted was missing. The food was lovely and the activities unforgettable. Our little cabin had everything we needed, and we felt really comfortable there. It was an unforgettable visit, and Myrkulla Lodge is highly recommended!
