First Camp Mellsta-Borlänge

It’s handy for shopping and the main roads, but there was no service over the weekend. People brought dogs without leashes, and lots of visitors came in just to use the campsite facilities. The cabin was well insulated, but we all overheated pretty quickly. The beds squeaked, too.

We were shocked by the price when we left. At SEK335 a night, this campsite is simply too expensive for what you get. The cleaning staff weren't doing a very good job, and with so many things getting old, the price doesn't feel justified. Sadly, that was our last visit. The campsite itself is nice, with large pitches, but some buildings and facilities are showing their age. The showers need renovating, and the electrical outlets at the individual pitches have seen better days. The outdoor children's pool had been empty for a long time and looked scruffy. It could be a great campsite with some work, but the cost changes how the rest feels.

Good place, and finding the key was easy. The room was clean and had everything needed to cook. You can leave the car behind the gate 👌👌👌

A small campsite, but a really nice and peaceful place to stay.
