It's a historic area, so a good place to stay if you're interested in that or travelling north. The house is old and sits on the edge of Ovanåker, near Edsbyn. The rooms are cosy, though the bed was a bit uncomfortable for me, but still good compared with other hostels. There's a shower, kitchen, dining room and living room, and the lovely host was friendly and helpful. It's a short walk from the main road and bus stop, and arriving by car was no problem. There's parking out front and even electric car charging.

This hostel feels like home, and I settled in comfortably very quickly. Cooking in the kitchen or relaxing in the living room both felt like being at home. The receptionist is very capable, does a great job showing you around, and helps with what you need. Definitely a hostel I'd choose again.

During a trip through beautiful Voxnadalen, this was a clean, charming and peaceful place to stay. Doma is a grand old farmhouse that later served as a home for the care of older people.
