Elite Stadshotellet Eskilstuna, Hotel & Spa

For work trips especially, the location is very convenient. Breakfast and food service are high quality, and the rooms are comfortable. The bathrooms, unfortunately, aren’t well thought out, which is a big drawback.

The beds smelled bad, and the mattress felt like a thin topper with nothing underneath. With below-freezing temperatures outside, there was no heater in the room. Reception staff were rude, and the service there was poor. The room was honestly bad. I won’t be staying again. Zero from me.

The location was great, just steps from some good restaurants and bars, and the price felt very fair. I stayed at Elite Hotel Eskilstuna in June 2023 and got a large, spacious room, while my colleague’s was quite small, so ask about room size when booking. Staff were kind, helpful, and easy to reach with questions. My bed was large and comfortable, the bath was modern, and the minibar had a good selection of drinks. Amenities and an elevator are available. I didn’t have much of a view, but it was a pleasant stay. The breakfast buffet had lots of choices, including plenty of fresh fruit. There’s paid garage parking on site, plus gym and sauna facilities. I’d recommend joining the free Elite Club, since it may make the difference between getting a smaller or larger room.

Breakfast was the highlight, with an incredible selection that was kept stocked. Thanks to Majver for going the extra mile to make me fried eggs, and for serving the best hotel bacon in Sweden. We ate at the hotel grill bar and were very impressed by the food and its quality. Todd, our waiter, was kind, calm, efficient, and had a great sense of humour. The room was outstanding for the price. I’ve stayed at the Clarion collection in Etuna, and the difference is night and day. My first impression was Saga at the front desk, who was alone on a busy day but still went out of her way to help me and every other guest. A true professional. Five stars don’t feel like enough, and it’s probably the best thing in Eskilstuna 😀. I’ve already booked a return visit. The locals are an interesting bunch, so feel free to say hello. Thank you, Malin, and your amazing team.
