Hotel Aveny Bed & Breakfast

I’ve stayed here three times now, and each visit has been a good one. There’s a warm feel to the place, the staff are friendly, and the bed is clean and comfortable. Coffee and cookies are always available in the kitchen. Breakfast is very satisfying, and even the pack for people leaving early seemed made with care. I’d gladly book here again on a fourth trip to Gävle.

Breakfast was a highlight for me, with typical Swedish dishes as well as continental options. I stayed six days and really enjoyed this warm, calm place. The staff are so friendly, and the lady in charge is especially sweet, kind, and always smiling. I hope to see her again. The bedrooms vary in size, some smaller and some bigger. My only dislike was the bathroom, which had neither a fan nor a window. I’ll definitely come back.

We had a nice kitchen where we could eat and chat, and it had all the amenities we needed. The location was really good, the staff were very nice, and breakfast was good too. My only complaint was the room: its old furniture wasn’t well kept. The bed itself was clean and comfortable, though. I’d give it 3.5 if I could.

A friendly staff member was happy to help me get to know the city, and they packed and refrigerated my breakfast for an early checkout. The place is centrally located, within walking distance of the central station. Rooms and facilities aren’t especially cozy or spacious, but for the price I can’t complain. A good, inexpensive choice for a short city stay.
