Hotel Torslanda

Our room had a superb view, and the place was quiet. It's a clean, fresh, modern apartment hotel, with spacious rooms and working facilities that were enough for a comfortable stay. I can recommend it, 9/10.

You will not sleep here. Every night, a group of youngsters rode in circles and did wheelies in the parking lot right outside. The noise made sleep impossible, and if you leave your car there, you can only hope it won't get damaged. We called the police, who basically said that's just how the area is. I feel terrible for people who bought homes here. We booked another hotel for the last night just to escape the noise. Staff didn't seem to care and told us to deal with it. The gym outside also played very loud music early on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Its subwoofer made the bass shake the whole building. After bikes making noise all night, loud music starts first thing in the morning. Even in a "premium" room with a window, we had to keep it shut because of the noise. The place was extremely dirty, from the floors and shower to walls with sticky liquid dripping down them. There was rubbish left by previous guests, and it was so filthy we bought our own cleaning supplies. Blood stains on the elevator floor were left uncleaned for several days. We got just one roll of toilet paper for the whole week. There was no air conditioning or fan, and it gets very warm in summer. The fans we were promised weren't there. The couch and chairs felt like concrete blocks. The closets were unusable, with no hangers, so we couldn't unpack. The area was awful, the hotel quality awful, and it was very dirty. Spend your money elsewhere. By far the worst experience I've ever had.

I'm usually not fussy about hotels, but this place was awful and not clean. Moped riders, dirt bikes, and cars revved their engines and did donuts in the parking lot right outside the window all night, driving fast until well past 4am. They seemed to have no control of their vehicles and could hit your car. The hotel and police didn't care. It happens every night, and you won't be able to sleep. Then the gym outside blasted music early on Saturday and Sunday, with bass from a subwoofer shaking the building. Even if you get a window in the premium room, you have to keep it closed because of the noise. The hotel was filthy, from the floors and shower to sticky liquid dripping down the walls. The service was horrible, the beds terrible, and the surroundings awful around room 122. It was about a 15-minute walk from the other two buildings. When we arrived, the doors were unlocked and unsupervised, and someone was sleeping in one person's room. The receptionist answered “that's life” when we tried to sort out a problem. We had only booked one night, thankfully. I'll never spend my money here again. Shame on you for treating paying customers so badly.
