WOW Apartments, Sankt Sigfridsgatan 64-66

Three months into our six-month contract, sewage-smelling water came up through the shower drain and flooded the bathroom. To their credit, an emergency plumber was called very quickly, and my wife, our dog and I moved to a hotel. That evening, we were told the plumber believed the flood was caused by items flushed down the toilet. We know for a fact we hadn’t done that. The woman we spoke with wouldn’t even consider that we might be telling the truth. She shouted at us over the phone, called my wife a liar and threatened to take us to court if we didn’t pay the insurance excess (självrisk). We were already stressed from having to leave our home. On top of that, we had to keep paying Wow's very high rent during the two weeks the apartment couldn’t be lived in, pay the självrisk for repairs, and cover our hotel and storage costs for our belongings. We were also shouted at and insulted. EDIT: Six months later, as the owner's response below shows, they still say we caused the damage. My wife and I have never bought the kind of sanitary product the plumber found, so it’s impossible that we caused it. I also noticed six five-star reviews for WOW Apartments appeared on the same day as their response. Each reviewer had only one review. I suspect the owners are trying to manipulate Google review scores.

Too expensive.

A really fresh, stylish apartment with comfortable beds, good wi-fi and a kitchen fully equipped with everything we needed. It’s in a quiet, pleasant area close to the city center, a grocery store and nature. Check-in and check-out were easy, and the friendly staff gave us a very warm welcome. I highly recommend WOW Apartments, 5/5, and will book here again next time I’m in Gothenburg.

The location is a dream, with buses and trams right outside, so you can get anywhere you want, or take a short walk down to the crossroads and enjoy the surroundings. The apartment is cozy, stylishly decorated and has everything you need, including a dishwasher and washing machine. The beds are big and comfortable, the pillows are perfect, and the wifi is good. 10/10.
