Some of the apartments are in nearby buildings, including a rather dark basement that smelled of fuel oil. My apartment's equipment all worked, but there were some annoying details: lamps without glass covers, a loose curtain rail, and a bathtub with no silicone seals, so water running down the walls flowed into the room. The kitchen worked too, though it looked like it came from the 60s. Room features vary a lot, from no kitchen, to just a microwave, to a full kitchen with a stove. The rooms in the main building seemed better. The only modern touches were the large flat-screen TV and WiFi. The rooms and apartments are pretty basic, and the accommodation feels like it may have been at its best a decade or two ago, though some renovation work seems to be underway. I stayed a week for a business trip and wouldn't recommend it for that. It could work for a family wanting an inexpensive base for a hiking holiday, or someone needing a simple overnight stop on a motorcycle trip.

Our room still wasn't ready even though we arrived an hour after check-in started. The staff seemed bothered by us and very listless. The shower was clogged with lots of hair, and the room was furnished very minimally. At 9 p.m. someone used a hammer drill. Breakfast was pathetic, with almost no choice.

We arrived late Friday night after leaving another place because it was so bad. They were very kind to us and, even though it was Friday night, quickly cleaned and prepared a room. They did much more than we expected. Thank you so much!

The restaurant is nice and lifts the rating. The place itself is okay, though fresh paint in the hallways and removal of the medicine cabinets from the bathrooms would make it feel more like an inn and less like a retirement home.

We had a nice, pleasant stay at Verna Inn. It's cozy and child-friendly, close to Astrid Lindgren's World, with super friendly staff and really good food :) We'll definitely be back next year. I think they've made a lot of progress with the renovations and other things over the past year, and I'm looking forward to seeing how the place develops. My daughters also made a friend they hold dear. Thank you very much 🤗
