On Saturday evenings the street can get a bit noisy. The hotel is right in the middle of Karlsborg, close to the Göta Canal, and has lovely interiors. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the restaurant was great.

The traffic is really disturbing from the street-facing rooms, particularly on weekends and holidays, so ask for one at the back. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, lovely, and newly renovated, though a few details could've been better. Breakfast had plenty of variety, but I would've liked crispier bacon and drier scrambled eggs. Minor things.

The restaurant food was awesome, and the staff were excellent with our kids, who are 5 and 9. The hotel itself is cozy and nice. Only letdown was that the room's rain shower head didn't work properly.

After a 16-hour journey, I arrived to find the place locked up. I couldn't get hold of anyone, and only after I'd reached another hotel did I receive a message with a code to enter. I can't really review the stay itself, but having read that other people found the service bad, I didn't expect it to be that bad.
