Scandic Victoria Tower

My first impression has been terrible, even though I haven’t seen the room yet. Before coming, I called to ask about early check-in and was told to ask when I arrived. I got here early, ready to pay extra, but was told I couldn’t check in until 4 pm. They showed no flexibility or willingness to help. I was exhausted and very hungry, so I asked whether they served food. I was told it was only available to conference guests. I then asked if I could order food from outside, and was told it was “not allowed due to Swedish laws.” That simply isn’t true. I’ve travelled extensively, including all over Sweden, and I’ve never stayed in a hotel that forbids guests from bringing in their own food. Now I’m stuck waiting for hours with no food options. It feels unreasonable and unwelcoming, and it’s not the service or hospitality I expect from a hotel. Unless things improve drastically, I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it.

Breakfast was good, though it wasn’t included. The rooms felt extremely basic, worn out, and built for quick cleaning and turnover rather than comfort. The beds were uncomfortable, and it wasn’t possible to make the rooms fully dark. For a basic hotel, it was overpriced.

The hotel was quiet despite being well connected, with the train station very close and easy access to Stockholm city center. I found the rooms spacious and cozy, and breakfast had both a great range and good quality. I had a really pleasant, restful stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

The hotel makes a striking mark on the skyline, and the city views are amazing. Rooms are modern and spacious, with transport and shopping close by.
