I spent the day here with my family and wasn't sure what to expect, but it was a pleasant surprise. There are all sorts of things to get up close to, from old mobiles and computers to trams you can walk through. I'd recommend it.

We paid 32 euros for two adult tickets on a Monday morning. Some exhibition halls were completely dark and no lights were switched on. We left after an hour, disappointed.

You can easily spend several hours wandering through the collection. Anders Åberg's obsession brought together art, buildings, vehicles, farm machinery, and sometimes what looks like junk, so you never know what's coming next. His 3D art is especially interesting, sometimes on a huge scale, like the globe. He even planned to build his own railway and had the teams and tracks, but he never got permission. He also transported buildings from Norway and Hungary.

Check the seasonal opening times before visiting this extraordinary open-air museum. In the forest, there are wooden dwellings, sculptures, and installations, some of them like little museums. Its visionary creator, Anders Åberg, believed culture, history, science, and politics were strongly connected. From 1980 until his death in 2018, he established around 50 buildings here. There's also a B&B guesthouse with Swedish maritime flavours.

The autumn Market is amazing, a wonder for young and old alike!
