The location is pristine, and the food was delicious, even if the portions were small. Prices seemed fair, especially for the wine. The service, though, really needs work. People with reservations shouldn't be skipped over while they're waiting to be served. It made me feel unwelcome, and I felt like I was bothering the waiters because all they seemed to want was to go home. What can you do?

The old buildings and historic location make Klockargården hotel and conference centre very popular for conferences. The dining area and bar are great, and the food and staff are great too. It was a very good price. Breakfast was complimentary, with hot and cold dishes, cereal, juice, different breads, tea, and coffee, and you could have as much as you wanted.

Little red and white cottages are scattered across the landscape, many looking out over lake Siljan. The light over the lake changes through the day and is exceptional. It's one of those places that's just so quaint and unique.

The lunch buffet was very nice, and the staff were friendly. It's a beautiful building in a really scenic setting. Lunch hours are limited, so check them ahead of time to avoid disappointment.
