Scandic Kramer

I like the red room interior, and some rooms look out onto the main square. But after midnight, getting into the hotel feels like returning to the fenced camping area on a high school trip. Your room key won’t let you in, and ringing the bell is often humiliating, followed by dealing with a very suspicious lady at the main counter.

It’s a short walk from Malmö C train station, which made the central location convenient with our larger suitcase. We had a pleasant night here. The staff were friendly, breakfast had a good selection, the beds were comfy, and the shower was spacious. Our only small gripe was the room door. It was hard to open from inside, and once or twice we nearly had to force it open with a slam. Maybe it was just our door and we should have told the staff, but since we were only there for one night, we didn’t bother mentioning it.

At Scandic Kramer, Esteban at reception made a real difference to my stay. He was charming, kind and polite, and also very professional and intelligent. He speaks several languages fluently and handled every request skillfully and efficiently, always making guests feel welcome. He’s genuinely helpful and wonderful, and I’m convinced he’ll go far in life. People like Esteban add something special to the hotel experience. Thank you for the outstanding service!

We’re travelling from the USA and wondered if we’d find somewhere comfortable for all seven nights. The Scandic Kramer was perfect for us, with comfy beds, just the right room amenities and a fantastic breakfast. Best of all, the staff were amazing and friendly and made us feel at home. Helena was a delight. We had such a wonderful stay, and I can’t wait to come back next year.
