The forest tent pitches are pleasant, though they’re quite a walk from the service building, and a tent site costs 350 SEK per night. The bathrooms are very well kept, with washing machines, dryers, and a drying room available. It’s a large campsite mainly set up for camper vans, so as a backpacker I found it less convenient. The kitchens are clean and have stoves and ovens, but they’re short on basic cooking and eating utensils.

It’s handy for being near the town centre, and the campsite itself is nice. But cars were joy riding on the road beside it all night, so I barely slept. Bring earplugs.

For budget accommodation, it’s good quality. The hotel is really clean, breakfast has a good spread, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The location also gives you plenty to do nearby. The shower head splashed instead of giving a proper spray, and the shower curtain was too short, so water ended up all over the bathroom floor.

Reception staff were friendly and gave us loads of useful information. We took a bus and then the train into Stockholm, which was very straightforward. The city was amazing, with so much to see and do. 😀

First Camp has a nice setting, with trees, water, and the city close by. But there are lots of campers, and it costs a lot. It doesn’t seem like the profits are going back into upkeep. The kids’ playground is old, with lots of broken or damaged things, and the other facilities are getting worn too. They don’t look very well maintained.
