Hotel Bishops Arms Mora

We had two very quiet nights, and the crew were friendly and easy to deal with. The beds were good, but the rooms need renovating and feel a bit like the seventies or eighties. Breakfast was okay for Sweden, nothing special.

The room was clean and pleasant, the beds were comfortable, and there’s a cosy pub downstairs. Breakfast was great, and the staff made us feel welcome and were really helpful. It was quite cold in the room, though. Even with the heater turned all the way up, it didn’t warm up much, so I was glad I’d packed a warm sweater. A small fridge would have been useful too. Fix those things and it’ll be five stars next time. :)

We were able to take breakfast with us because we had to leave early, which was perfect service. The room was tidy and big enough, and reception stayed open later in the evening thanks to the bar next door. Very good service, right in the city centre.

The lake view is lovely, and the location is great. The room was okay and clean, though it could use some attention, and the toilet clogged for no reason we could figure out. The restaurant has a comfortable atmosphere, but the meal was overpriced for the amount and quality. There weren’t any salads to choose from, unlike at the Bishops Arms in Örebro. The expensive abborre and rice dish was small and bland, with barely a cup of rice and limp lettuce that was inedible. Definitely not worth 225kr.
