We had a really good time at Hönö Sjöbodar over Christmas, and the view from this lovely location was amazing. The supermarket, cliffs and plenty of other beautiful spots were close by. Inside, there was much more room than we expected, with a comfortable living room and bathroom. Six adults could have stayed easily. Our 9-month-old dog settled right in, too. We were grateful for Anna’s help when we thought the oven had a problem. Within an hour, she’d sent her husband over to help us, even though it was Christmas Eve. That was such a kind thing to do. The kitchen was equipped, but we brought some things of our own for cooking a proper Christmas dinner: a good pan, roasting pan, extra pots, steak cutlery, a thermometer and a few other useful items. We also missed a laundry rack, clothes hangers, tea towels and a soup ladle. A rack would have been especially useful for hanging our washed running clothes. I’d highly recommend staying here.
Really great.
We came from g'berg for two nights as a couple, with our dog, to celebrate my wife's birthday. The cottage has a really relaxing feel, and the huge windows frame a view you could watch for hours. There’s loads of space, with the sleeping area upstairs. The Kuststigen runs right past the cottage. We walked the island loop as a day trip and stopped for lunch in the harbour. The trail also goes around Ockero, so there’s another good day hike there. For bread and fika in a cozy setting, I recommend Lilla Bageriet, which is open Friday.
Sjöboden #5 was tidy and well cared for, and the kitchen and bathroom were clean. The host welcomed us warmly, and we were happy with everything. The Wi-Fi was 150/60 Mbit/s. We’d be glad to come back, and recommend it.
My teenager lived here for 9 months while she went to Gunilla. The sheds are in a nice location and look good on the surface, but our experience with the owners, Anna and Johan, was awful. They were extremely rude and stingy. Silverfish were in the bed and sofa, and we had to persuade them to clean the shed. After Anticimex dealt with the insects, dead silverfish about 1.5-2 cm long were left on the sofa, bed and floors. Anna refused to have her cleaning staff, who were there several times a week anyway, clean them up, even though we were willing to pay. We got no compensation when it became too disgusting to stay there. Anna gave very strict instructions about cleaning carefully, but didn’t provide a vacuum cleaner or floor mop. They also had surveillance cameras and hadn’t told us. They often complained about everything and called us parents to accuse our children without being sure they’d done anything. One time, Johan appeared outside one of the back sheds, looked through the large windows, then walked straight in to complain that six people were having dinner. Over the years these sheds have been called “party sheds,” and young people show up to party whether you like it or not. Instead of protecting the people living there, Anna and Johan blamed them for starting fights and parties. I’d never recommend supporting such unpleasant, stingy people.
