Hotel Örebro

Our room was much bigger than we expected, with tasteful decor, a very comfortable bed, and a bathroom “to die for.” I can’t speak for every room, but ours went beyond what we expected. We had a generous breakfast and were met by warm, professional staff. We did have to pick up the key at reception across the street, but that’s a 20-meter walk between buildings, which hardly seems worth complaining about. The hotel is right on Storgatan, so everything is close. We had dinner at Ll’Amice on the ground floor, where the menu was great, the food delicious, and the service attentive and genuinely friendly. Hotell Örebro/Hjalmar will be our first choice whenever we come to Örebro. I’m honestly puzzled by some of the negative reviews, since our experience was excellent.

I’d happily stay again. The service from everyone we met was extremely friendly, and breakfast was fresh and tasty. It’s just a five-minute walk to the train station and to the castle and centre. The rooms are basic but spacious, and the beds were comfortable. We stayed at the Hotell Örebro for the weekend, and I’d recommend it to anyone after a well-located hotel on a budget.

This old hotel has a nice feel, and the staff were friendly. I stayed in a single room without a fridge, which didn’t matter to me. It’s in the heart of the beautiful city, and they let me leave my bicycle in the luggage room. The bathroom was very fresh and clean. Breakfast is served at another nearby hotel. The mattress had a stain, so I used my own clean sheets. Without that, it would have been a five-star stay.

We were lucky to get a quiet, spacious room, and they have a wide range of room types. We stayed for 11 days, and the breakfast impressed me every morning. The selection was really good, with what seemed to me like very healthy food. Honestly, there wasn’t anything fair to complain about. The staff worked hard. The blonde-haired woman in particular was incredibly diligent, carefully clearing tables, serving the nutritious food, and looking after every little detail in the area. This has become one of my favourite hotels.
