There are bicycles and canoes available, and the hosts were full of helpful tips for outings nearby. They were incredibly warm and friendly, with a lot of heart. Our clean, comfortably furnished room and the wide choice at breakfast made for a lovely stay. A very cozy hotel, highly recommended.

Mia and Micke made us feel like family, even though the hotel was busy with lots of guests. They shared ideas for making the most of our time in Orsa and even drove us to scenic spots, cross-country skiing, and ice fishing. My wife and I had an amazing time and hope to return in summer to enjoy the area. We spent New Year in Stockholm wanting to experience real Sweden, and were lucky to arrange a three-day trip to Orsa at the Hotell Strandvillan.

The owners were lovely and full of useful information, and we slept comfortably in the beds. Our room had everything we needed, including a desk, TV, and water boiler, and bicycles were available to borrow. It’s a charming classic hotel overlooking the Dalarana river. ☺️

It felt more like staying at home than at a hotel, thanks to the friendly, helpful owners. The location by the lake is convenient too, with restaurants, shops, and other amenities close by. We really enjoyed our stay.

The reception closes in the evening and overnight, though guests with a reservation can check themselves in. Strandvillan is a pleasant family-owned Hotell, with nice rooms and great staff. Breakfast was good, though there was no bacon and the eggs were only boiled.
