Pensionatet Malmgatan

Comfortable beds and lovely linen, and I liked that they bake their own bread for breakfast. The overnight oats, health shot, and good coffee were nice too, though there were no vegetables or berries. There was no hot water in the shower on Saturday evening. The place is beautiful and cosy, with friendly staff. We didn’t get the room we’d booked for some reason and had to take a smaller one, which was nice but cramped for the whole family. It had been advertised as pet-free, but they let our two dogs stay anyway. That suited us, though it might not have been so nice for the allergic person staying after us. At check-in we were told breakfast started at 7, but it actually started at 8. They may need to improve how information gets passed between staff.

I was pleasantly surprised by this B&B, especially for the price if you like a cosy, personal atmosphere. The rooms are large and nice, with everything you might need, including a washer. Breakfast in the stylish restaurant was very nice, and the staff were super friendly. Thanks for the free coffee! There’s also an inviting little rustic yard between the houses. Summer evenings must be lovely there.

After a few days, business hotels can feel stuffy, so Pensionatet is a great choice. I stayed for four weeks and couldn’t have been happier. The rooms are all different, spacious and comfortable while still feeling cosy. Breakfast was quite good, with warm bread every morning. Dinner on Friday and Saturday was exceptional. The pizza at Pensionatet is one of my favorites, but don’t skip the risotto either. It works especially well for longer stays, and laundry is available. There’s no gym on site, but Korpen Pitea allows walk-ins.

A nice spot for a night or two. The rooms are cosy, with a kind of alternative, classic interior that gets a bit weird in places, but it’s okay.
