What a sad “renovation.” The owners have completely devastated a once-beautiful building, tearing out its history and culture and replacing it with what can only be called trash. I can’t understand what anyone involved in commissioning or doing this work was thinking. Just look at the pictures.

The staff are doing their very best to make your stay good. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of gluten-free and lactose-free choices. The hotel has been renovated and the rooms are fairly new. The bathrooms look a bit older, but they’re still very clean.

The location was very good and the rooms were okay, but the breakfast was horrible. The sausages were sitting in spoiled, stinking juices.

The food was good and, with the low prices, definitely worth visiting. They were a bit understaffed when we went, though, so it took a while for our food to arrive.

The beds were good, service was good, and breakfast was okay. Fine for a night in the centre of Sollefteå.
