Biz Apartment Gärdet

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and there’s a local grocery store just up the street. We found a neighborhood bar called Funka-deli with good burgers, nice people, and a dog who gets to pick its own ice cream 😆. The hotel was quiet and minimal, but had what we needed for our 3 nights. Bus 1 and 76 stop just outside and make it easy to get into town in 10-15 minutes. From the train, taking a bus to the hotel was easier than going by tram to Gadet and dragging our bags across the park 🤪. I’d recommend it to others.

We were there for two nights. The room was nice, and having a little kitchen was a plus. The bus stop right outside has a direct connection to the city centre, which is very convenient. There’s a bulk-buy store in the same building, and within a 10 minute walk we found a grocery store, several restaurants, and Banana-Kompani for concerts and other things. I can recommend it for what it is 👍. The air in the room felt very dry. Early in the morning, there was also a rumbling noise, like heavy things were being moved around a lot.

We stayed 4 nights at the end of December, three of us in a One bedroom terrace apartment. The space was a good size and the location worked well, with several public transport options and easy access by car. Still, I wouldn’t rush back. The apartment needs renovation: many kitchen cabinets were damaged, the bed sagged and was very uncomfortable, and the shower drain smelled awful until we flushed it out.

The staff were warm and cordial, and buses made it easy to get around. It’s also close to some offices and to the Tallink / Silja line cruise terminal. A very good place to stay.
