Citybox Stockholm

We had a quiet room with a comfortable bed, though there were no windows and the floors were very hard, with no carpet. The best part was a wonderful host. We also enjoyed the restaurants and bars on the 12th floor, shared with other buildings, where you can see the harbor below. We had a lovely glass of wine and an appetizer there on our last night. CityBox is right downtown, and the location was terrific despite all the construction outside, which seemed to be happening across Stockholm.

Our room was small, but fine for us since we were only there to sleep. The location made it easy to walk to gamla stan, and the metro is close by. There’s a lovely feel to the place. The hall has shared facilities including a fridge, tables, a sink, and a paid coffee machine. There’s even a meeting box, plus a luggage room where you can leave your things for free after checkout. The staff were friendly, and the stay was very good.

Check-in and checkout were the quickest ever, and I just loved the stay. The windowless room was nice and quiet. I was a little confused because I hadn’t realized I needed to go down to the 2nd floor, and the lift wouldn’t move when I pressed up. A few cups or glasses in the room would’ve been great. I also would’ve liked a better lamp by the mirror on the room side for doing my makeup.

The small rooms are practical, the place is very clean, and there’s a useful shared kitchenette. The support staff were fantastic, and the location is great. Getting to the main entrance with our luggage was the one awkward part. We had to walk a bit over gravel, since taxis don’t drop you right at the entrance. Aside from that, it was a great stay.
