Haymarket by Scandic

The room could’ve been cleaner. There were stains on the bedding and bed runner, and the floor was dirty. I mentioned it at checkout, and the staff were very receptive. Breakfast was amazing, with a huge range of options. The staff were super friendly, and the omelette station even cleaned pans and utensils for me as a vegetarian, which was a thoughtful touch. The location was great, and the restaurant and bar were always busy and lively.

The location made it easy to explore lots of interesting parts of Stockholm on foot, and it’s near the central station. Our room was clean, with a very comfortable bed, and the bathroom was a good size. Breakfast had a wide variety. I enjoyed my stay so much and highly recommend it!

The hotel has an Art Deco feel, like stepping into the 1920s. The rooms are a standard size for the brand, not very large, but bigger than others in the same price range. The bed was okay, though maybe too soft. The workers were always helpful, and the service was fine. Breakfast staff were especially welcoming. The food was very good and at a high standard, comparable to other high-end chains. The hotel bar is busy and popular with both locals and tourists, and it’s a very good place for a drink. The restaurant was good too. My one downside: they didn’t have any amenity kits, which always come in handy. Still, it’s a very nice place and I highly recommend staying here.

The Haymarket by Scandic has so much character. I loved the 1920s decor, the music, the building, and the whole vibe. As someone who travels for work, I appreciated that it didn’t feel like another hotel room with plain white walls. The room was big and super quiet, which matters a lot to me. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom details were very pretty. Getting around was easy. The 17-minute express train from the airport drops you a short five-minute walk away, and a couple of other train stations are within a five- to ten-minute walk. There are plenty of shops around too, if you like shopping. Staff were welcoming, and breakfast was delicious, with lots of choices and everything freshly made. It was my first trip to Stockholm, and I’ll definitely stay here again.
