Reimersholme Hotel

The views were lovely, and the place has a fun atmosphere that still stays fairly quiet. It’s a unique spot in a great location. Our room and shared bathrooms were in the annex, as expected. The beds were basic but comfortable, and breakfast was very good. There were guests of all ages. Stairs and heavy doors make it hard to get around if accessibility is an issue.

The location was nice, but there wasn’t much around. Inside, it felt like a cheap hostel, not a hotel, with facilities that were dirty or didn’t work. None of the room outlets worked unless I unplugged the TV, and the lights were broken. The two guest toilets weren’t clean or usable.

The reception service left a lot to be desired. Don’t ignore people just because you’re eating behind the desk. The stairwell was full of dust bunnies, the room wasn’t properly cleaned, and the decor was a definite no. The bathroom disgusted us, so we decided not to risk having breakfast there either. I wouldn’t recommend staying.

We spent three nights here with our children in mid-summer. The location was a big plus, with a peaceful island setting, a nearby Coop for basics, and good public transport into the rest of Stockholm. The playpark close by was useful, and having a kitchen helped with the kids. Breakfast had something for everyone, the beds were very comfortable, and we barely heard the bar’s food and entertainment from our room thanks to the thick windows. The room itself was cramped and run down, with little storage, a broken lamp and a shower that wouldn’t drain. The bathroom and shared kitchen weren’t as clean as they should’ve been. It’s a decent budget option, popular with families and younger independent travelers. Think hostel with private rooms, a better breakfast and a relaxed feel. A good stay overall, with some clear downsides.
