We came for the Julbord and the food was stunning, even better than I’d hoped. The warm, cosy atmosphere might be the best part, with big windows and a little old-fashioned grandeur. Now that the younger generation is taking over, it’s nice to support a family business. I’ve not found anywhere else in Sweden that feels like a really good British pub, and it beats the alternatives in Umeå. We’ll be back, I hope regularly!

We had a really nice time, and the staff were lovely. The cocktails tasted great too. The food was very good, although the roasted potatoes were overcooked.

We could manage without bacon and scrambled eggs, though the breakfast selection was a bit limited. Our room, number 112, was otherwise okay, but some sort of compressor ran through the night and made it hard to sleep.
