Elite Park Hotel Växjö

I was here for a conference and have a bad reaction to dairy. The staff couldn't have been more helpful once they found out. They set aside a special version of the meals and even came to find me with a plate clearly marked to show which items were milk-free (mjolkfritt). Everything was immaculate, and the staff were very helpful.

From booking and check-in right through checkout, everything was a great experience and very good value. We had a superior double in the annex: quiet, clean, with a comfortable bed and two pillows of different softness. The shower area was huge, the location was great, and the staff were super friendly. Breakfast was lovely, with pancakes and ginger shots, especially welcome after a late cocktail night. I'd definitely return!

The breakfast had lots to choose from, and the staff were polite and helpful. The hotel is centrally located, just a few minutes' walk from the railway station, with plenty of nice restaurants nearby. The rooms are roomy and the showers spacious; bikes and snacks are free at reception. I wish the rooms had more amenities, though. Mine only had tiny bottles of shampoo and conditioner. The price is good if you book early enough, which I didn't.

For Sweden, the price seemed fair, but I wouldn't say the hotel meets three-star standards, despite its rating. There's no parking or pool, and the drinks fridge is tiny and not really cold enough, maybe okay for wine. Staff weren't always available, and there was no way to call for service. It's not especially expensive, but I think you can find better hotels for the same price.
