Dash Living Rochor Hotel

Keeping in mind how extremely compact hotels in Singapore tend to be, this one was good and kept clean. Breakfast was just okay and could have been tastier. Since it’s in Little India, we went out to find good food.

The complimentary breakfast was the one good part: tasty food with plenty of options. The rooms were clean and tidy too. But the room size is the main problem, along with the laundry charges. For a basic room that only fits one king-size bed, they charge 152 SGD per night. It’s an average hotel with very high prices.

The rooms felt more like dorms, with barely enough space for a bed and nowhere to move around. They charge for an extremely small, cramped room and a really bad breakfast. The breakfast was the worst, packed and cold, with very little choice and no spread at all. The hotel has no kitchen, and when I asked for a single mask, they refused to give one. Staff were very rude and didn’t respect customers. The whole place felt third class, not three star. I wouldn’t recommend staying here in Singapore.

One of the few hotels in the area with complimentary breakfast, but since there’s no kitchen of its own, the spread is very simple and minimal. There’s Upma, with lots of unboiled rava lumps, very dry Poha, bread, butter and jam, plus a non-veg option and tea or coffee. Taste, presentation and quality are all extremely ordinary. The hotel is in the heart of Little India, well connected to the main city by buses and the Singapore metro, and close to major shopping centers like Mustafa and Bugis. The hotel is decent, and some rooms are large enough for a family of three or even four. Rooms are small compared with typical hotel rooms in India. Staff at both reception and the restaurant mostly seemed self-occupied and not very interested in checking on guests. I’m giving three stars for the location and room cleaning service staff. We left our luggage on the last day while finishing our shopping, and not a pin had moved when we got back. Credit to the country in general!
