D'Nova Hotel @ Kallang

The lift was the only positive thing about this hotel. The rooms are humid and windowless, and the sitting area is in a public space that gets hot and very noisy at night. After I left, I moved to Chinatown, which was the best place to stay because it's in the city centre. Stay away from D’Nova Hotel. They lack humanity. I was there for about two weeks, intending to stay for my whole time in Singapore. When my card stopped working on Trip and Agoda after I arrived, a friend consistently booked two days at a time for me, without any problems. The day before check-out, he said he was travelling and asked me to wait an hour or two before booking again. It was already noon, so I told the man at the desk about the situation. About 30 minutes later, another man claiming to be the owner came over. I said I'd already spoken to the desk and stepped outside to explain so I wouldn't disturb people in the room. I told him this was the first time this had happened and asked for at least those two hours. He said I couldn't go back into the room. It was raining, and I asked if I could at least go in to put on a shirt, but he refused and threatened to call the police. When I wouldn't leave, he locked the door and made me use the stairs. I said I wanted to check out, and he told me the fee was $60 or I had to rebook. On a different occasion, my friend accidentally booked a female room, and they asked me to pay $20 to change it. Luckily, my friend managed to change it, so I paid nothing. There were many cases during my stay where people had to pay extra for mistakenly choosing the female room. From the reviews, you can see they lack an understanding of proper hotel management. Peace.
