I had to check in unexpectedly early in the morning because my mother was ill. James and Ishwary immediately helped us get a room so she could rest, and I’m deeply grateful. The room was clean and comfortable, with all the toiletries provided, and the hotel is conveniently near the airport. The service from them and the rest of the staff was exceptional and truly impressive. This will be my first choice when I have an early morning direct flight, and I’ll definitely return. The airport location was ideal, and the shops and restaurants right across the road were handy. We booked one night for the convenience, but wouldn’t repeat the stay. There was an unpleasant peppery or musty smell in the lobby. On the 10th floor the air felt damp and stale, and our room smelled strongly of mould. The staff moved us quickly when we asked. The second room was slightly better, but we saw visible black mould in the shower the next morning. Service was disappointing too. When we arrived by taxi with our bags, the doorman saw us but didn’t help. He took the trolley inside and kept chatting with a colleague. We had a late checkout at 1pm because of a late flight, but left at 10am instead and spent the day at the airport, including having breakfast there. This wouldn’t be my first choice for an airport hotel.

We had a 10h layover and stayed from 9am to 5pm. Sean gave us a warm, kind welcome and check-in was very smooth. He also upgraded our room for free. We loved how spacious it was, along with the pool and gym. The steam room and sauna were out of service, unfortunately. It’s just a five-minute taxi ride from the airport, with a mall and large food court next door.

The pool and facilities were aggressively meh, nothing impressive or memorable. Laundry was a nightmare: 16sgd per wash+dry, and the token I got was old, so I had to walk between the laundry room and reception several times. They promised a technician, then left me waiting unattended for over an hour. A cockroach corpse sat in front of my door from day one of my two-week stay and was never cleared away. Maybe it was supposed to be part of the interior design. When I finally complained to Mr. Saifullah, I admit I lost my temper. He may be able to fix technical issues, but customer service doesn’t seem to interest him. He told me, “Be quiet, or I won’t help you.” Excellent work, Saifullah. Nothing says professional hospitality like casually threatening a paying guest. If cockroaches, overpriced laundry and being threatened by staff sound good to you, this is the place. One star feels generous.
