The rooftop hangout is cozy, and I almost always end up meeting new people there. I can count on the Kiwi (now Rucksack Inn) as an inexpensive place to rest my head, and they've never let me down. The service is consistently good, the beds are comfortable, and the rooms are clean. Prices are very reasonable too.

The rooms were tidy and clean, and it was a good place to stay. Breakfast is just toast, tea and coffee, but it's free, so I can't complain. The place has now joined, or is at least working with, the neighbouring hostel ruck sack inn.

The front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating, but I started to wonder after a few days whether anyone was managing the place besides them. The rooftop garden had seen better days, and the property felt neglected, with broken ceiling tiles, cockroaches in the hallways, dirty toilets and soap dispensers that were usually empty. The staff were lovely, but the place was run down and very dirty, like nobody was really looking after it.

The dorms are average and the rooftop garden is looking tired, but it's a nice spot to chat with other travellers. This is a good value backpackers, with friendly, informative hosts and the MRT line a short walk away. Handy for a stopover.

I stayed here five years ago, when I was still 11, and had a blast. The staff were so friendly, the place felt cozy, and I enjoyed the hospitality. It's near the MRT station and local supermarket, and not too far from the airport. I fully recommend it based on that stay. The room felt more like a dormitory because it had bunk beds, though. I don't know if anything has changed or if the place is still open.
