Harbour Ville Hotel

We chose this place because we were visiting Sentosa and USS, and it was close to both. The room was tiny, but clean. Being near a Catholic church meant we could hear its bells now and then. Still, we had a pleasant stay.

The cot was a big reason I booked here, since you said one could be provided for our baby. Once we arrived, we were told we'd have to pay for a room upgrade to get it. I felt completely scammed, especially after cancelling a cheaper, larger, more central booking based on that promise. The room itself was tiny and nothing like the photos, with one little window blocked by the AC units. The sheets felt plasticky, and I woke up drenched in sweat even though the room was cool.

The bathroom is small, but comfortable to shower in and didn't feel cramped, even for me, as I can feel claustrophobic in tight spaces. The air conditioning was excellent, very cold, and there wasn't any damp or mouldy smell. Everything was kept really clean throughout the property. It's a little out of the way from vivocity and harbourfront, but getting there by bus or a short walk was easy. The paths were well lit, and the streetlights lit up the rest of the way. Check-in was quick and easy, and the staff were really nice, though I didn't catch the staff member's name. For a budget hotel, I was surprised, and I'd stay again.

The receptionist was friendly, and the lobby was nice. The rooms let me down, though. The hallways and rooms smelled of smoke and felt stuffy, and the sheets and pillows were dirty.
